What IS "Europe"? 😃

In the cultural sphere governed by california and its... people, when one says "Europe", one normally means something along the lines of France italy britain/england Portugal Catalonia¹ the netherlands belgium and spain, with perhaps the addition of germany Ireland austria switzerland czechia² and... well, some scandinavian country.

If, at an american movie (let's say, a Ginger Bells film, manufactured by "Hallmark"), a character (normally[❓️] an aging Mother-figure with severely unnaturally-coloured hair, due to her pathetically desperate attempt to look younger than her daughter😂 Really, takhles: What's Closed with all those characters' hair-colouring??? 🤣 Почему, at age 70[!!], do those women desperately try to look 25??? 🤣🤣) goes to "Europe", that "Europe" kinda bounds to be one of the western Latin countries, ie.: France, italy, Catalonia¹, Portugal and spain. Sometimes, she might (if the movie was made by a different studio, то есть😃) go to the Irish Isles = Ireland, england, scotland, wales, et al.

Same goes for all those americans moving to "Europe", to suddenly realize that one does NOT need to work nine thousand eight hundred seventy three hours per week, and still(!!) end up with no Health Insurance once herr boss decides, all of a sudden, that their job is "redundant", or that good reliable trains, are not merely something from the age of spaghetti westerns. Those normally broadcast their youtube content of "Wow I've just doscovered that the World is not just crackpotville alabama and miseryton wyoming!! Could you believe it, in some places, they even have grocery stores that one can actually walk to, With One's Own Feet!!!!!!!" from somewhere along the lines of berlin, paris, london, amsterdam, vienna, lisbon, or prague.

Сейча, politically speaking, the term "Europe", unfortunately, tends, ever more often, to refer to the euronazi union (where some neo-nazi party wins a total majority somewhere every new week, it seems), so much so that in a Nature(!!) documentary, some brit had referred to the Great North European Plain as something that stretches "until the border with Belarus".

(Please, do not tell me that I need to actually explain, how totally much that sentence is terminally mentally retarded.🤣)

I mean, even for an englishman brrrrrrrrrr, that was a record of total dumbness LOL

Сейчас, the thing is - the western tendency, to only EVER think of what we might refer to "Atlantic Europe" as the entire continent can, конечно, be explained as a sad remnant from the cold war era, when they simply could not have travelled much eastern than the Elbe. So, I understand when eighty-year-old boomers make this mistake. But - by the Gods, Peoplim!! That cold war thingy has ended 35 years ago!! Lasted for slightly more than four decades, and ended nearly that same amount of time ago.

Pretty soon, meine Dammen und Herrrrrrrrrrrrren, the end of that era shall be closer to its beginning, than it would be to us.

It is thus ridiculous for us, to keep maintaining such an anachronistic view of things, like with countless western jerks who still(!!!!) refer to places, such as prague or budapest, as "Eastern Europe" LOL

Whether on an actual Atlas, or online; doesn't matter.

Europe stretches from Portugal, to the Ural Mountains. From Dagestan to Iceland. From the Mediterranean Sea to the Arctic Ocean.

The Yamal Peninsula, and the North-Western edges of Kazakhstan (everything west of the Ural River), are exactly as much "Europe", as amsterdam and paris are.

And, should we aim to find the centermost point of that continent, we shall find it in southern lithuania.³

So, the term "Eastern Europe", should refer exclusively to the European parts of Russia (excluding the Central European exclave of Kaliningrad, of course).

And everything between the Russian, and the german borders, should thus be viewed as Central Europe.🔨😎

¹ - I Don't Care, whether some jerks at the u.n. have bother themselves to recognise Catalan Independence; I Have. So, viewing its Capital Barcelona as "a spanish city", is exactly as wrong as viewing the Transnistrian Capital Tiraspol as "a moldovan city" (which it is not!!). This stance is in accordance with the Citrian principle of Automatic Recognition of ANY political entity declaring its Independence, one to which I have held from 1990 onwards.

² - Calling it so because it would drive czech nationalists, such as dishonest guide janek, mad = which I Love doing very, very much.😝
