The Future of "Star Trek"

The "Star Trek" frenchise had created a Gorgeously Optimistic view for humanity's future, with Excellently sharp commentary about humanity's present. From "The Day of the Dove", "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield", and "Is There in Truth No Beauty?", through "Justice", "The Measure of a Man", "The High Ground", "Allegiance", "Suddenly Human", "The Inner Light", "The Circle", "Rules of Acquisition", "In the Pale Moonlight", "Death Wish", "Once Upon a Time" and "Critical Care", to "Strange New Worlds" and "Ad Astra per Aspera", to name but a few.

Sadly, however, it does look as if this has now come to a decisive early end. Of all new "Star Trek", it was ONLY "Strange New Worlds" who was a True Heir to The Original Series, "The Next Generation", "Deep Space 9" and "Voyager". The previous two series of the "new era", "discovery" (or, much more appropriately named, "disastrovery") - and, even worse(!): the horrendous "shmicard" fiasco - had both been nothing, but atrocious garbage, quite possibly THE very absolute WORST television series in History - and, while "Strange New Worlds"'s first two Seasons had, without a doubt, been Excellent (okay, sans the regrettable gore episodes, which, of course, had "ALEX BLOOD-THIRSTY KURTZMAN" written all over them, plus the revolting "erica ortegas" character), its third season had been a disaster: out of ten episodes, no less than five(!) (1, 3, 5, 9 and 10) had belonged to the garbage gore=ortegas (YUCK!!) ensamble, three (2, 4 and 8) were fluffy comedy = very nice to watch, but with absolute ZERO saying, about the human condition - and only two(!) (6 and 7) were actually real high-quality "Star Trek".

And, if we had ANY Hopes for the Series' four and fifth seasons, in came the trashy disaster "starfleet academy" = probably the very worst one yet!! - and proved that, without a doubt: from cbs/paramount, NOTHING good shall EVER rise. Not anymore. Unless they shall fire the entire creative team they've had for the past two decades, almost (since the jj-kelvin timeline debacle), and shall recruit only REAL Trekkers in their place.

And, of course: issue a declaration, that absolutely ALL the events shown at absolutely ALL the shows and movies claiming to be "Star Trek", from 2009 till Present Day, did, in fact, take place on a parallel universe, while on our Universe, the Romulan Star Empire is alive, well, and is a close ally to the Federation, as are the Klingons, the Ferengi, and various other species in our region of the Galaxy - and nothing bad will happen at the 31st Century, at all.

Сейчас - The Ideal Star Trek shall, of course, be a proper return to the TOS-TNG-Voyager lines (especially TNG Seasons 3 - 6 = the Golden Age of the entire franchise):

Bridge well lit, Philosophical, Moral and Ethical debates, and, above all: Optimism and Light.

Simply put: same as the more serious aspects and Episodes of "The Orville", or a more professionally look version of the well-made Fan Trek, like "Farragut", "Star Trek Continues" and "Avalon".

If cbs-paramount can be made to employ Josh Irving and Vic Mignogna (for example), giving them a complete Creative Freedom and fully embrace their (which is also mine!) Version of "Star Trek", this can bring about some of the Very Best "Star Trek" Creations ever made!
